MyReadyBag is an organizational backpack designed to help children—especially those who are neurodivergent—feel calmer, more independent, and ready for their day.
Created by a mom after her autistic son struggled with unstructured time at school, it turns everyday routines into moments of clarity and confidence.
Created by a mom for her autistic son, MyReadyBag brings structure, clarity, and confidence to children who thrive with predictable routines and thoughtful organization.
It’s more than a backpack.
It’s a tool for independence.
Raising a child with autism is incredibly rewarding — and incredibly challenging. You know your child has so much ability, but finding the right tools to help them use those abilities can feel like searching for the other sock in the dryer. You know it has to be there… but where did it go?
Now imagine your child having something that’s truly theirs — a tool they carry, own, and understand. Something that gives them structure and direction throughout their day. A visual guide that shows them what’s coming next, without guessing or overwhelm.
Nick was bright, curious, and capable — but the world wasn’t built for the way his brain organized information. Every day felt like a scavenger hunt for papers, schedules, reminders, and routines. He wasn’t struggling because he couldn’t do the work — he was struggling because he didn’t have a system that matched how he understood the world.
So one day, out of pure necessity, I created one. Inside the backpack, every section had a purpose:
It became his anchor. His structure. His independence. And for the first time, school didn’t feel like chaos — it felt manageable.
As Nick grew older, I realized something important: our story wasn’t unique. So many families raising autistic children were facing the same daily battles — the overwhelm, the lost papers, the unpredictable routines, the constant need to repeat instructions, the emotional exhaustion of trying to hold everything together. And every time I shared what we had created, people would say, “I wish we had something like that.”
Today, Nick is 31 years old. He’s organized, grounded, and able to handle changes in a way that makes me incredibly proud. Some of that is simply who he is — steady, thoughtful, resilient. But I also believe that the structure he learned early on, through this backpack system, helped shape those strengths. It taught him how to break down his day, how to manage transitions, how to keep track of what mattered, and how to trust a routine that supported him. Those skills didn’t disappear when childhood ended. They grew with him.
That’s when I realized this system wasn’t just helping him get through school. It was helping him build life skills — the kind that carry into adulthood, independence, and confidence. Every child deserves that foundation. Every parent deserves that peace of mind.
That’s why MyReadyBag exists — to give other families what I wish we had from the beginning. A tool that doesn’t try to change a child, but instead supports the way they naturally think and learn. A system that brings clarity to chaotic days, structure to overwhelming moments, and confidence to kids who just need the world to be a little more predictable.
Whether a child is autistic, ADHD, a visual learner, or simply someone who thrives with routine, MyReadyBag is designed to meet them where they are and help them move through their day with more ease and independence.
This isn’t just a backpack.
It’s a lifeline.
It’s a daily guide.
It’s a way for kids to feel capable, prepared, and proud of themselves. And it’s a way for parents to breathe a little easier, knowing their child has a system that truly works for them.
So today, I’m inviting you to be part of the beginning of something that has been decades in the making. MyReadyBag started as a simple solution for one child — my child — but it grew into a system that can support so many others who see and experience the world differently. If our story resonates with you, if you’ve ever wished for more structure, more calm, or more clarity for your child, I hope you’ll follow along as this project comes to life. Whether you choose to support the launch, share the mission, or simply read our story, you’re helping bring a tool into the world that I know can make a real difference.
Thank you for being here at the start of this journey.
MyReadyBag is a structured, calming backpack designed to give kids clarity, predictability, and confidence throughout their day. It’s especially helpful for:
The interior includes thoughtfully arranged sections that help children understand what they need and what comes next — without constant verbal reminders. To protect future patent options, we don’t publicly share the internal layout or mechanisms. But the concept is proven, and the mission is clear.
You’ll notice a shield logo on every MyReadyBag. It’s more than a design — it’s a symbol of structure, calm, and confidence. For kids who thrive on predictability, the shield becomes a trusted visual anchor throughout their day.
MyReadyBag is currently in development. I have an original prototype and am now raising funds to:
This stage matters more than most people realize — every bit of support helps move the project forward.
